The Prids Premiere New Music Video "Fragile"

Portland shoegazers The Prids premiere new music video "Fragile", on My Old Kentucky Blog.

Comprised of rare live footage from road, “Fragile” offers viewers and music lovers a wistful glimpse into the band’s rigorous touring, spirited fans, and turbulent shoegaze sound.

Directed by fellow Oregonian filmmaker Sean Strauss, “Fragile” is part of a bigger, more ambitious project. The Prids will be dedicating a music video for each song on its sonically lush, third full-length, Chronosynclastic. With guitar contributions from Built To Spill's Doug Martsch, the record is a piercingly moving reflection on how powerfully time can shape our personalities and lead our choices.

After previously releasing videos for the heart-stopping "Desolate" and poignantly nostalgic "Break", The Prids opted for a visual rendition of "Fragile". The song is a perfectly calibrated combustion of enrapturing melody and jaw-punching noise, while its video, shot mainly on the road, offers a precious and vivid insight into what it means to live a "Prid's life".
