Cat Stevens Returns With New Album
British musician Yusuf has plans to revive his original previous moniker Cat Stevens with a new album release. The veteran singer/songwriter fixed a comeback album after 31 years titled Roadsinger (To Warm You Through The Night), due to release on May4 through Island.
Yusuf have been releasing albums under his own name after Cat Steven's 1978 release Back To Earth.
"I'm back to doing what I do best – painting pictures with music and storytelling on a very human, positive, intuitive level through lyrics and song, so I can help people feel good again. I guess in some ways the new album picks up where the Cat Stevens the public knows left off," said Yusuf.
The new album will feature guest appearances by James Morrison, Michelle Branch and Holly Williams.
