introduction to Autechre...

i know it's weird that this post is coming from me cos' i'm not really a big fan of electro, but i gotta admit that Autechre is one fantastic experimental electro duo. Autechre, an english electro duo with Rob Brown and Sean Booth on the line-up, one of the pioneer acts signed under Warp Records, a label known for its electronic music artists. this is their latest album, untilted, the eighth ever since their existence since 1987.

"The eighth album by these OG glitch kingpins is a curious thing..... every succeeding Autechre album has gotten more complex, as if there were Oulipo-style rules system guides the entire practice....... while the music may be composed in a postmodern way, then, it's staunchly modernist in its sharp, subtle honing of minimalist compositional techniques.
