do not mistaken this album as Charlyn "Chan" Marshall's greatest hits album despite the title. The Greatest contains all new songs written by Chan herself, or better known by her stage name, Cat Power. she's a girl with a unique down-tempo voice which makes her special than other female vocalists. well, aside from those bjork or regina spektor's avant-garde vocals, this is the next best thing to listen to if you're in the mood of getting high.

she's the new face for chanel's jewelry line as of october last year. according to designer karl lagerfeld, cat power was the only woman who looks glamorous while smoking. weird?
