Pirate Love - Black Voudoun Space Blues

The dissonance you feel in your gut when you pair “Pirate” and “Love” couldn’t be more perfect. Then you sprinkle in a glob of garage surf punk blanketed with the sharpest of black atmospherics and you have yourself Norway’s very own Pirate Love.

After coming off a huge European tour with Serena Maneesh, Pirate Love will be making a mid-June stop off in Toronto for NXNE to play at El Mocambo’s on 6/18 before switching gears and making a thunderous maiden trip to NYC – first, with a Brooklyn show at Glasslands on 6/23 and then, without a lull, at Manhattan’s Piano’s on 6/25.

Pirate Love just released their new album Black Voudoun Space Blues on
Kong Tiki Records and will be unleashing all its fury during their Toronto and NYC explosive stints. No matter how you try to phrase a Pirate Love performance, it’s almost always going to fall light years short of the caliber of the real experience. The primal, throat-busting sound from these punk roustabouts will surpass all energy Richter scales your little body thought it could handle. Tongues are already wagging so be sure to catch them during their brief Toronto and NYC sojourns.
