My First Earthquake - Downstairs


Churning potentious indie pop flavors with their spontaneous creativity in music-crafting, everything seem a little glimmer with the addition of simple, catchy lyrics along with them, automatically spots a chance for a sing-a-long session among listeners.

The indie pop wizards from San Francisco, My First Earthquake comprise of four friends sharing the same interest in generating magical tunes, rhythms that make you sink and drown to it.

On June 20, the band is set to unveil their self-released debut album titled Downstairs. The 10-track album was produced by Anthony Molina, who currently plays for Mercury Rev and is a building producer.

My First Earthquake cited influences from music icons including Prince, Chicks on Speed, David Bowie, The Ting Tings, The Mae Shi, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Mates of State and New Order.

Here is a video featuring the band singing Fa La Freezing, a song dedicated to Hanukkah.
