Noah and the Whale - Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down

Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down is the debut album by London's folk rockers Noah and The Whale. The album made it's appearance on August 4 through Mercury Records.

Although the band was formed in 2006 with a handful of singles waiting to reach end users, the band has been patiently waiting for this date to release their debut. Pack with 11 tracks.

A collection of great melodic folk tunes. Easy listening.

The band has been compared with acts like Belle & Sebastian, The Postal Service, The Little Ones, The Magic Numbers, among others.

Some other side info relating the band, do you know that Laura Marling was previously part of this band before pursuing her solo career? Marling still performs with the band occasionally though.

Current single is 5 Years Time.

sgk verdict:- I love folk a lot, so i'd say this is one hell of an album to hunt for. You probably be inspired to start your own band instead. Favorable tracks include 5 Years Time, Shape of My Heart, 2 Atom in a Molecule and Mary.
