Boy Eats Drum Machine - Booomboxxx

The sole mastermind behind the experimental outfit Boy Eats Drum Machine, Jon Ragel merges the world of turntablism and live rock performances as Ragel spins breaks and surgically insert sounds while juggling vocals, percussion and saxophone.

Ragel is a bold songwriter, producer, singre, turntablist, and plays a variety of instruments like saxophone, guitar, synthesizer, organ and percussions.

On October 28, BEDM released a new record titled Booomboxxx, loaded with unique turntable textures, saxophone blasts, expertly chopped break beats, and his gutsy voice. Vowed to be the most cohesive work to date by Ragel, quickly reminiscing from the likes of DJ Shadow, David Bowie, Morphine, Queen, and The Postal Service.

Rather impressed with the brilliant blend of mix, the selection just blend so well that it's mild to the ears, especially the energy-boosting horns found on Demonic With Horns. One fantastic album to hunt for if you're into experimenting.
