Muon - The New Mutants

I stumble upon Muon while reading an article online, and came across that catchy 4-letter word, 'F-R-E-E', so I decided to click on it just for the sake of getting that awesome deal.

I was brought to this Singapore-based indie band and I started browsing through their stuffs. Words can't be explained when I first heard their songs being auto-played on their MySpace. Captivating beats, enchanting technical chimes, featherweight synth, plus a crunchy touch of prolific guitar solos and multiple layers of skilled-effects.

I don't know, somehow their compositions are seemly tempting and triggers me to hit the next button all the time, despite clicking the 'repeat' button numerous counts.

You will definitely spot this interesting if you're a major huge fan of instrumental, shoegazing, ambient, electronic and experimental music.

Muon recently released a new album entitled The New Mutants, and is now available as a free download on their MySpace.

Also, read a superbly contented article written by Nick Chan, a member from the band, commenting on a shameful approach made by a famed music event organiser in Singapore, trying to get the band to perform in a music festival. Check it all out here!

(*updates!* we have mistakenly reported on the name of their new album...it's called The New Mutants, not as what reported before Rock Never Death...our apologies to the band for our mistakes!)
