American Princes - Other People

American Princes is an indie rock from Little Rock, Arkansas. They are currently signed to Yep Roc Records, with three albums with them as of date, including the recently released one entitled Other People, also their fourth album since the start.

"We wanted to include a bunch of weird, post-modern hooks, which made working with a predominantly hip hop producer all the more enticing", commented guitarist David Slade. "Ultimately, our goal with this record was to create something bigger and more ambitious than anything we'd done prior. A few friends have said it's our 80s record, but it's probably more Tears For Fears or Tom Petty than New Order." - quotes cited from their MySpace bio.

Apparently, when you gather a bunch of enthusiasts who have visions of lifting music to a higher level, this is what you get - plainly delicious rock tunes pairing up with a few great hooks to keep the energy flowing.
