Sigur Rós returns with SURPRISES...

Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós has been enormously silent for the past two years since their last release, Takk. And it's not something good for its fans. But this depressing long wait can sway away soon cos' the quartet is back with explosive surprises!

The band's first ever documentary film, Heima was filmed during their free tour in Iceland for two weeks last summer. The shoot occurred at 15 different locations, hauling only 40-plus audiences to their shows - creating something inspirational, different, unique. Read on about the making of this documentary here.

The official release date of the documentary is September 27. DVD release is set on November 5. Watch the trailer below.

A companion along with the documentary film is this double compilation albums containing studio versions of unreleased songs previously, Hvarf and Heim. Both releasing on the same date as the DVD, November 5.

Hvarf
