Thurston Moore - Trees Outside the Academy

Sonic Youth's frontman Thurston Moore is back with his second solo piece since 1995's Psychic Hearts, a brand new one entitled Trees Outside the Academy under his own label Ecstatic Peace!. Something different compared to his past where experimental noise evades the stereo box like never before, the new one goes acoustic rock, with Thurston mainly on his acoustic guitar and his tenderly vocals.

Thurston is backed by his bandmate Steve Shelly on drums and Fleeting Skies' Samara Lubelski on violin. Dinosaur Jr's J Mascis lent contributions on lead guitars on some tracks.

Thurston @ 13 is something Thurston found over his mom's of him making 'music' when he was still 13 years old.
