The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players, the world's foremost Indy-vaudeville conceptual art-rock pop traveling family slideshow rock band, are continuing to move the medium of entertainment forward...One show at a time.
Since the year 2000, the Trachtenburg's have been perfecting the art of turning found vintage slide collections into original pop-rock musical and visual exposes based on the lives and societal examinations of anonymous strangers, and some well known corporations. This new art form can be multiply categorized into the realms of rock music, comedy, theatre, cabaret, vaudeville and performance art.
The Trachtenburg's have toured the world with new annual versions of their rock slideshow presentations. Their uniqueness has allowed for performances at university classes, corporate conventions, the lecture circuit and weddings. The band has been featured, and has received critical acclaim in over 1000 major music and journalism publications in addition to 200 + television appearances/performances.
Their second full-length album Lost and Found is out July 12th on Tummy Touch Records.
On “Lost & Found,” vintage slide collections are spun to perfection, weaving tales of memories lost...and art found. Lyrical complexities and simplicities make for immediate musical memories featuring 10 new "slide songs," a theme song, a poem, and bonus-track debut recordings from the Trachtenburg's spin-off projects SUPERCUTE! (featuring Rachel Trachtenburg,) and The Pendulum Swings (featuring Jason Trachtenburg.)
