Spindrift Premier New Video on IFC.com

Psychedelic western troupe, Spindrift have premiered a new video for "Theme from Confusion Range" on IFC.com. The video was directed by Simon Chan and is reminiscent to 70's exploitation films. The band has announced that this is the first in a series of short films to premiere on IFC.com every three weeks with at least five nearing completion in the coming weeks. The videos are based around songs from the bands forthcoming album "Classic Soundtracks Vol. 1" to drop early May on Xemu Records. The album was mixed and engineered by Ethan Allen and is currently being mastered by Howie Weinberg.

"Classic Soundtracks Vol. 1" is a highly cinematic album. The songs on the album were written as themes from films past and present and range greatly in style. A different director is represented for each video ranging in cinematic style as well. The bands music has appeared on HBO' East Bound and Down and films like Quentin Tarantino's production of Hell Ride and in upcoming films including Treasure Of The Black Jaguar, Dust Up, and Legend of the Widower Colby Wallace.

Spindrift has been mesmerizing the musical spectrum for over ten years. The band's release "The Legend Of God's Gun" was based off an independent western film on the same name that premiered at several film festivals and went on to have national distribution through a DIY ethic.
