Jonsi Heads Solo with Go

Aside from his major guitar duties with Icelandic post-rock outfit Sigur Rós, and the one half of the artistic ambient duo Riceboy Sleeps, Jón Birgisson has unveiled a strong passionate decision of venturing on a solo effort, with the intentions to release his debut solo album early next year.

We heard that Birgisson and his band will be releasing a new album next year as well - wouldn't it be a clash when it comes to promoting the album? Perhaps he can.

Anyway, this forthcoming debut album is titled Go, and will appear as Jónsi. Tentative date set to release on March 22. Consist of nine tracks, and produced by Peter Katis.
