Glasvegas Released Debut Album, Announced Follow Up

Another band to hunt for, Glasgow-born rock band Glasvegas founded since 2006. Having to release five singles since formation, where two made its way up to the Scottish top charts, until finally settling with a self-titled debut album released on September 9 through Columbia Records.

Achieving a great success in the UK, clinching on the top of the UK charts, this debut may be the stepping stone to a greater success to the Scottish lads and their forthcoming follow-up album, announced earlier. According to an interview with the band, the speculated second full length will be recorded in an old Transylvanian church in Romania.

On their MySpace, they did a cover of Nirvana's Come As You Are.

Similar artist include The Dykeenies, Pete & The Pirates, The Cribs, The View and Peter Doherty.
