Laundry Music Volume 3

Just like any other Laundry Music night in the past times, Volume 3 seemed to be more on the indie rock side compared to the previous ones. Crowd was pretty humongous, both indoor and outdoor.

The first to perform was the boys from Ipoh, Bittersweet. Somehow, they rocked the crowd, which I guess 60% of them are fans of Bittersweet. But not me. Next.

Next was the men from Paris, France. Utopium. Frankly speaking, I was pretty disappointed after their first song. Lots of mistakes done by the bassist. I guess he's too crowd-shy. The most energetic person was the guitarist. He's really sexing up his guitar on stage. The spirit of post rock. The crowd wasn't that pack when Utopium was playing.

After Utopium was Hong Kong's The LoveSong. This is the best for the night. The crowd were crazy when they started rocking the stage. The frontman was quite cool, although I barely heard what he's singing due to the screwed up mike, but it's all good. The music they played can already defeat the rest of the bands that had performed that night. The fucked up part was there's this bunch of Malay kids who was stage diving and crowd surfing. I know I know. Rock gigs do have these kind of incidents, but fuck, this is no concert, this is just a small gig in a bar! The LoveSong told these boys not to stage dive, but they ain't listening. They still go on stage diving and crowd surfing like it's their gig. So the management has no choice but to get some large-sized waiters to drag them off. But before the 'bouncer' arrived, the boys fled pretty quickly. Fucking cunts.

Next up was Beijing's TooKoo. I did not stay long for this set, cos' I had to rush to some other venue, but the first or two songs they played was alright. Their introduction was quite bold though. In a multi-racial country, you yelled "Chinese Rocks!", but hey!, who cares? They're just tourists.
