Malcolm Middleton - Sleight of Heart

Malcolm Middleton is the one half of disbanded post-folk band Arab Strap. After the band confirmed their split up, Middleton fully pursued and concentrated on his solo career, however, he released numerous singles while he was still an Arab Strap member.

His latest work, Sleight Of Heart is his fourth album which was released on March 3 under Full Time Hobby Records. Features six new tracks and three cover versions of Arab Strap's, the songs were written during the make of his 2007 release, Brighter Beat.

Middleton got a handful of assistance from Mogwai's Barry Burns on piano, former Delgados Paul Savage on drums, Stevie Jones on double bass, Jerry Reeve on violin during recording sessions.

Week Off and Blue Plastic Bags are previewed at Middleton's MySpace site.

The last time I checked, there aren't any videos from this album. At the meantime, check out their latest video from the previous album, We're All Going To Die.
