That Radio Dept.

Another shoegazer group I'd would love to introduce you to. Please welcome Swedish indie pop outfit, The Radio Dept. Founded since '95, the group has seen the on/off members throughout their music career. Currently there are only three existing members.

Radio Dept uses lots of drum machine and samplers. They sound like 80's electro pop'ish, progressive trance synthesizer, down-tempo guitar plucks, lo-fi stoned vocals. Their last release was Pet Grief in May 2006. Reminiscing the days when New Order was rocking so hard with their Bizarre Love Triangle. You could just use any kind of moves on these music. Jump. Groove. Swing. Cha-cha. Headbang. Laylow.

Here it is their single The Worst Taste In Music.

SGK verdict : If you're that someone whose still stuck in the 80s era, or perhaps, an addict to long sync-keyboards and spacy effects, even more a M83, Eluvium, New Order, My Bloody Valentine, or Smashing Pumpkins (there's one great song which sounded like 1979, at least the beat does)...it's a purr-fucking-fect match for you!

SGK rates : 7.8 / 10
