The Swell Season - Strict Joy
The Swell Season was initially an album title released in 2006 by Irish singer/songwriter Glen Hansard and Czech songwriter Markéta Irglová. Since then, the duo called themselves The Swell Season in their performances.
A new album titled Strict Joy is making it's way to record stores on September 28 via Anti- Records. The album features 12 new songs written by the Hansard and Irglová, and features contributors by members of the acclaimed band The Frames, guitarist Javier Mas, Doveman's Thomas Bartlett, avant-garde jazz duo Chicago Underground Duo, Steven Bernstein and Clark Gayton.
The Swell Season gained mainstream stardom from the movie Once, with their hit single Falling Slowly.
