Optimystik x Madfoot on Mad One

Optimystik and Madfoot got together on their second collaboration - this time, a Mad One shoe. Made of white patent leather, the shoe is covered up with lines of patterns all over the shoe, and the best thing when you turn off the lights, it glows. It might be a big thing for glow in the dark shoe, but just take a look at this one. Beautifully designed and you thought it's a complicated shoe designed, but, it's just another plain white shoe from far. Patterns on the shoe was taken from a version of Optimystik's Blink Camo. As usual, it will be release so limited that people can snatch and kill for this. Coming this November. Check it out.

Smashing Pumpkin's Zeitgeist preview

This is specifically to all long time Smashing Pumpkins fan. The good news is, you all know that the Pumpkins are reuniting once again to record this new album of theirs entitled Zeitgeist, which we had reported about it months ago.

And today, here's a little preview on the ups downs lefts rights on the making of their latest piece. The background music is their soon-to-be single, Tarantula. I'm actually expecting to see the music video in a week or two time. Once again, the album is set to launch on July 9.

The current SP line-up is without both James Iha and D'arcy Wretzky, and were replaced by former The Lassie Foundation guitarist Jeff Schroeder and former Halo Friendlies bassist Ginger Reyes. Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin remains the old line-up.

Funeral For A Friend in Singapore!

According to some source, the Welsh emo/post-hardcore band Funeral For a Friend will be sailing down to Singapore in September. No news on the exact date, venue or where to get the tix. But no worries! We will let you know as soon as we know.

If this rumor is legit, then it's a good news for all rock-followers cos' the FFAF boys coming so near to us, it might be once in a blue moon or never.

I guess it would be a part from the tour to promote their new album, Tales Don't Tell Themselves, as reported previously.

Crowded House returns after 14 years?

Indeed a wonderful surprise to see some old school rockers returning back in the scene after taking a long big break. And one of them is Crowded House, which have stopped releasing follow-up albums after it's last in 1993, Together Alone (excluding compilations), and now, the uncles are back with a brand new one entitled Time on Earth.

The album comes with a 14-track double disc pack, also a bonus dvd showcasing three live performances, a couple of interviews and photo gallery.

Their current single, Don't Stop Now, proves that old folks can rock the scene today as well. The song features a pop rock tune, sounding so radio-friendly that anyone in this world could listen to it and shake along with it. Compromising catchy beats for leg stomping throughout the track, melancholy guitar riffs as well as piano lead, not leaving out the vocals that sounds so young.

Time on Earth is set to release on June 30.

Darkhorse Fall '07 collection

Darkhorse unveiled its Fall 2007 collection recently, releasing some slurping designs for both men and women, some with hot graphic visuals, and others with catchy words to steal the limelight. Some of the participants for this line's collaborations include Insa, Ransom and Dave Flores.

The other thing is, they have a pretty cool website. Lots of numbers and numbers it just goes all over and over again. I thought it was some virus at first, causing me to close the page for a couple of times, but please be patient and wait for the numbers to run away. You'll get to see something quite worthy for the long wait.

Vans Vault Fall 2007 preview...

Velvet Revolver - Melody & The Tyranny

Pop Shuvit - Set You On Fire

Pop Shuvit released their latest video, Set You On Fire. Produced and directed by some Swedish group of people. The song was taken from their latest album, Amped & Dangerous. I gotta tell you this is one of the best music video I ever seen from a local band.

The boys are one of the very few bands that has the chance to tour Japan, so it all depends how hard you can rock in the scene and the Shuvit boys are able to do that.

Icky Thump

Grammy Award winner The White Stripes will be officially releasing their sixth studio album entitled Icky Thump on June 19. A strong follow-up after their last album, Get Behind Me Satan two years ago, Icky Thump managed to get numerous positive feedbacks from reviewers all over the world.

The magic duo are best known for their raw lo-fi style highly inspired by garage rock, punk rock, folk rock and country music. The duo plays all the instruments on their own, with Jack White on the guitars and keyboards, and Meg White on the drums and percussions.

Gehry's Cardboard Sound Box

Pritzker Prize winning architect Frank Gehry came up with something brilliant and built a sound box made of 720 re-used corrugated cardboard. Furnitures by Ikea. Six stereo speakers surrounding the entire box. Click here to read more about it.

R Kelly - Double Up

Self-acclaimed the king of R&B, R Kelly recently released his eight studio album entitled Double Up has already seen his first single I'm A Flirt featuring T.I and T. Pain hitting the top of R&B charts globally. The song was originally from Bow Wow's The Price of Fame album. This time, Kelly did not involve Bow Wow in his remix version, instead, he brought in T.I and T. Pain to create a brand new vibe of the song.

R Kelly got his fame with his mega hit single I Believe I Can Fly, the theme song for the movie Space Jam. From then, he's been remarked as the King of R&B with his exotic beats and groovy tunes.

Here we have two versions of the music video. Of course we have the original version that you see on music television channels. But the second one was did by some enthusiast, mashing up R Kelly single with Broken Social Scene's 7/4 (Shoreline), creating a whole new remix of the song. An approach to blend in R&B with indie rock, I think it sounds perfectly fine and experimenting music with blending different genres together, it's a total cool idea. So, Mr. Enthusiast, keep up your good work and do more remixes like that!

Another steaming hot collaboration done by Alife with shoe manufacturer Puma on its First Round High Tops model. Clad in two colorways - the black and the white, the shoe features an all over-print design of Alife's logo. as colorful as white & black can be, the shoe retails at $200.

Republic Union release...

Singapore's Republic Union recently released its summer 2007 collection. A whole new range of cut-n-sew quality apparel varies from limited quantity t-shirts, and it's super limited to 15 pieces each, both men's and ladies.

They've got some customized Levi's 524s too. I wonder Levi's would mind them doing that but, it's sure a cool customization work done here. Love that distressed-look. So folks around Singapore, take some time and head down there and check out RU's stuff before it's completely sold out.

June Release : Nike SBs

This is to all Nike fanatics out there whose really into its SB lines, as the giant shoe manufacturer will be releasing some attractive sneakers this very month and soon to be updating in their Nike SB site.

Some of the models that will be releasing includes Jordans, Team Editions, P-Rods, Griptape Dunk Mids and Lows. The main attraction for this time's release is an unbelievable, the very first slip on SB produced by Nike.

You just can't stop Nike doing their very best to give and satisfy what the people want. Three cheers for Nike. I, personally, am looking forward to get a pair of this slip on some time soon.

Puma x Biomega 8-Speed Urban Mobility Bike

Puma and Biomega delivered this new 8-Speed Urban Mobility Bike recently. I'm not a brilliant person on bikes and technical terms and shits, but the design of this bike could be a part of the reason why a person would get this bike. I guess the bike could go really superbly fast with that 8-speed 'technology'. The bike comes with an integrated wire lock system, double disc brakes and it can be folded, time for some portability - a very convenient bike where you can just fold, pack, unfold, ride in an instant.
