Zoo York Artist Series - Makeset and Broken Windows
Zoo York Institute announced the release of two latest series of decks, Makeset and Broken Windows.
Makeset is a design collective comprised of two Brooklyn-based artists/designers/makers - Mike Perry and Zoo's very own in-house creative mastermind, Damien Correll. Long-time friends and regular collaborators, over the years the two have joined forces on several ‘zines, prints, and other acclaimed art projects. The tag team duo’s new series of Zoo pro models feature custom graphics that are a playful spin on NYC’s iconic landmarks, renowned architecture, and bustling neighborhoods. From Coney Island, Times Square, and the East River, to the Brooklyn Bridge, Flatiron District, and Chrysler Building, the Makeset Artist Series provides a unique visual narrative on life in the Big Apple.

The Broken Windows Artist Series is a custom creation brought to life by a covert design collective affiliated with Zoo York. Keeping it dark and gritty like New York City, the graphics on this collaborative series of pro model boards reflect the wide range of typography, graffiti, and scrawls plastered all throughout the city’s five boroughs. Cleverly designed so the graphics from one board bleed onto the next to form a complete set (aka, polyptych), the inspiration for this series was derived from a challenge to the 80’s era Broken Windows theory that was adopted by the Giuliani Administration as a way to clean up NYC streets by cracking down on graffiti, petty crime, and other forms of perceived “vandalism.”
Both series are already available in authorized stores globally. Click here for more information.

Sony unveils VAIO "Maya Hayuk" Edition
Sony today unveiled the VAIO Graphic Splash Maya Hayuk Edition notebooks featuring designs from New York-based, emerging artist, Maya Hayuk. These limited edition PCs are available in two head-turning designs- "Grow" and "Never Stop".

Known for her colorful and symmetrical imagery, Hayuk conceptualized and painted these designs for Sony. These new styles transform what was already a stunning PC into a functioning work of art, beautifully blending cutting-edge images with a sleek design.

The “Grow” edition captures the feel of an organic forest with deep green, blue and purple flower-growing wildly across the top of the notebook while “Never Stop” is a colorful, kaleidoscopic design that is decked in interlacing lines and spherical shapes.

Shocking Pinks

Shocking Pinks does not have a permanent live touring band, so members differ all the time. Something rather interesting, experimenting the same music with different styles being played. Sweet.
His (or their?) first single from the album, End of the World.
Boys Noize - Oi Oi Oi

His debut album entitled Oi Oi Oi was recently released and now available in stores worldwide. The first single is Don't Believe The Hype.
múm - Go Go Smear the Poison Ivy

"Exuding an otherworldly, almost magical aura, múm make sonically warm, richly melodic experimental music married effortlessly to a pop sensibility. The band uses an array of instruments (guitars, bass, drums, synths, laptops, cello, accordion, mutated brass, and mouth trumpet, to name a few) alongside crisply-programmed electronic washes, beats and bleeps." - Insound

In4mation fall 2007 tees
In4mation introduced numbers of t-shirt designs, released under its fall collection. The detailing work of the designs are awesome, like the one inspired by the drugs and pills, and the 'drop bombs, not names' design. Further information in their website.

honeyee.mag volume 2 - special products
In conjunction with the release of honeyee.mag volume 2, honeyee.com teamed up with numerous big names to produce some special items, made available in their online store.
There are two t-shirts made with Neighborhood, a sweater and a beanie with Sophnet, a handphone strap with Fragment Design, and a bag in two sizes with Head Porter. All products will be separated into three releases between Oct 9 - 23.
I fancy the phone strap and the bag. Check out the others in their store here.
